BROW LAMINATION

Brow lamination is a semi permanent brow styling process that creates thicker and fuller brows for up to 8 weeks, while keeping unruly, long brow hairs in place.

HENNA COLOUR & SHAPE

Henna fills in the brows and stains the skin more than a tint, creating fuller, thicker brows. We use Elleebana Brow Henna which is a natural alternative to tinting that is filled with anti-oxidants, a vitamin complex and hydrolysed proteins. This helps to strengthen and restore brow hair growth and improves the condition of the hair.

BROW DYE & SHAPE

Bronsun brow dye is an extra long lasting colour that colours the brow hairs and stains the skin.  Colour is designed to last 2 weeks on the skin and up to 7 weeks on the hairs.  Ditch the brow pencil and try brow dye!!

IPL Skin Rejuvenation is an advanced treatment designed to produce younger and healthier looking skin. As we age, most peoples complexions are impacted by sun damage, time and lifestyle choices. Rejuvenation is done with a series of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatments that improve many of the unwanted effects of aging.  Treatments eliminate pigmentation, acne scarring, fine lines and broken capillaries in a short course of treatments 1-4 weeks apart. 

What is IPL – Intense Pulsed Light Treatment?

IPL is a non-invasive light-based technology used to remove unwanted hair and improve many skin conditions. Such conditions as age spots, sun spots, freckles, superficial capillaries and other unsightly discolouration of the skin can be eliminated using this technology. IPL is also incredibly effective for those of us who suffer from facial redness and can even stimulate fibroblast causing increased collagen production in your skin for a more natural, lively, healthier looking you!

How does IPL work?

A fully trained therapist will apply a specially designed hand piece to your skin and generate an intense pulse of light which will be absorbed by targets in your skin. The light delivered from the hand piece is delivered at high intensity during a very short period of time. It is this rapid discharge of light that provides the high energy levels required for each IPL treatment to be effective!

When you have your consultation, our trained therapist will give you a more accurate treatment plan based on your skin concerns.

This treatment should be done at least 2 weeks before a special occasion as pigmentation, scarring and broken capillaries appear darker before they fade and this process generally can take 10-14 days.

Skin Tone Correction

Whether born with them or acquired over the course of a lifetime, virtually everyone has one or more sun spots, freckles or skin discolouration they’d love to get rid of!  A doctor’s letter confirming that no skin cancers are present is usually required before commencing your treatment cycle and a series of 4 – 6 treatments spaced 4 week apart are required for optimal results.  Treatments areas such as backs of hands, forearms, décolletage and face will respond well.

Rejuvenation Treatment

Everybody loves the sunshine!  Limited exposure is good for the soul and the immediate effects it has on the skin such as a tan and healthy glow are much desired.  However, in the long term, sun exposure decreases the production of collagen, which in turn causes damage to the skin making it feel wrinkled and coarse and looking red and tired.  Skin rejuvenation treatments will improve skin tone, texture, refine and refresh the skin by increasing the production of collagen in the skin. 

Redness Reduction

Estimates indicate that unsightly veins are a common problem for more than 60% of the adult population!  Our trained clinicians can offer treatments which will reduce facial blemishes such as red flushing and red spots found on cheeks and around the nose with minimal downtime or risk.   A treatment cycle of 4 – 6 treatments spaced two to three weeks apart is usually required to reach your best possible outcome. 

Skin clearing

Our trained clinicians are now able to offer IPL based acne management programs for their clients.  These unique treatments are designed to specifically slow the overall production of oil that leads to acne, thus dramatically reducing the chance of spots and minimising the appearance of pores in general.  Results will vary, but most people will see a significant improvement in skin condition.  Treatment should be spaced approximately 1 – 2 weeks apart.

What is SHR Hair removal?

Introducing Super Hair Removal Technology (SHR) to the clinic - a revolutionary new method for permanent hair removal. In comparison to other slightly dated laser and IPL methods, SHR provides faster and safer hair reduction treatments for clients. Most conventional IPL laser hair removal technologies utilize massive amounts of heat to destroy hair follicles and ensure permanent reduction. On the other hand, SHR IPL Lasers fire multiple shots but at lower Joules. This new method gently heats the hair follicles producing a warm tingling sensation—some clients compare it to a warm massage. Motion technology is utilised by moving the hand piece over the treated skin which contributes to the overall comfort felt by our customers during their hair reduction treatments.

We use a combination of SHR and IPL to achieve your hair free goals faster and more effectivley than just traditional IPL alone.

Hair Removal Treatments

IPL hair removal treatments are easy and quick solution to unwanted hair and can be successfully used on the body or the face.  Usually a course of 6 – 8 treatments is required to achieve optimal result, but once you've completed your treatment cycle, you can look forward to a lifetime of smooth skin with only the occasional maintenance treatment.  Compare that to the cost and hassle of a lifetime of waxing.

For the removal of unwanted hair, Intense Pulse Light (IPL) is more effective than shaving, waxing, electrolysis or laser treatment. It is safe and non-invasive and the results are worth the experience. We are pleased to be able to offer our clients one of the most advanced IPL machine the Ultralux. This machine offers the latest medical grade IPL treatments which are fast, safe and efective.

Side effects are rare. Slight reddening or local swelling at the treatment site may be experienced, but this typically goes away within hours.

Cosmetic Tattoo Brows

At Sea Serene, owner Vanessa does all the cosmtic tattooing procedures.  As a brow guru, Vanessa takes you through the entire process and a makes entirely sure that a brow tattoo is going to be the right option for you. Alot of time is spent choosing the correct colour and shape for your face as well as the technique used.  

 

THE DIFFERENT TATTOO TECHNIQUES USED AT SEA SERENE ARE:

MICROBLADING

Individual hair strokes are microbladed into the skin with a manual hand tool (non machine) that mimics your natural hair pattern. Lasts 12-18 months in the skin before a maintenance appointment may be needed.Not suitable for oily skin, rosacea clients, clients on blood thinners.

COMBINATION BROWS 

This technique combines microblading and ombrè shading. Microblading technique is used at the bulb of the brow which will slowly fade off into an ombre shading towards the tail using the tattoo gun. Lasts 12-18 months before a maintenance appointment may be necessary.

OMBRÈ BROWS 

A pixelated shading tattoo effect which goes from light to dark using a tattoo gun which will give an ombre effect. This is a longer lasting and suits all skin types. This is not a block colour tattoo. An ombre brow is customisable and you can have them as dramatic or soft as you like. 

 

BODY CONTOURING/FAT CAVITATION

Fat Ultrasound Body Contouring sculpts your figure and enhances your silhouette by reducing stubborn pockets of fat without the need for invasive surgery such as liposuction.

How does Ultrasound Body Contouring work?

Radio Frequency, also referred to as RF, is a fantastic treatment for tightening loose or sagging skin on any area of the body to produce firmer, more youthful looking skin.

Special care following your treatment...
